As part of DST’s mandate to establish coverage in remote areas this challenging project was awarded to AlanDick for the turnkey supply, installation and commissioning of 100m towers in Labi and Temburong districts. Ground conditions necessitated the construction of bored pile foundations to support each of the 90 ton towers, which were designed as per specification for 0.5 degrees deflection whilst under a design gust of 55.6m/s (200km/h). Logistically and operationally a tough project due to poor access to sites, monsoonal rains, and the remoteness of the chosen tower locations. |
